Perfect spot if you have family at Duke Hospital. Very close, fridge and microwave in room. Affordable breakfast on property. Shuttle to Duke Hospital. Staff are super nice, understanding we are there because someone is in the hospital. Terrence was very nice and helpful. Jeannette went out of her way to be kind to my mom. Thank you sooooo much!

The Cafe served a top notch breakfast with a wide variety of options. My whole family was very pleased and even the pickiest eater found something to eat and enjoyed it so much they found something else. The coffee was comparable to Starbucks and phenomenal. The rooms are always clean with every detail in place. The bathrooms are white glove spotless and I couldn't ask for more. I choose The Lodge for all my stays when I need to be close for medical visits because of the high quality service and immaculate rooms. I truly feel at home.

Breakfast was fine- prices not exorbitant like some hotels. I have never been in a cleaner hotel. I was unaware of the scope of the hotel and found the staff exceptional- from the lovely ladies at the front desk, to the lovely lady at breakfast and the great guy Hadmid, who drove the shuttle. The employees are like quasi social workers ( which I am)- they have to have empathy, compassion, intelligence and understanding for the terrible things that happen at the hospital and to the families. So often these folks are alone and fighting battles with their partners across the street and when they come back ( home for so many) to the hotel they need to vent and the staff is there for them. We were there for a basketball game and were struck by the awesome devotion exhibited by staff. They all deserve a raise. I did say to the staff that I hope never to need their services (medical lodging) , but feel comforted that they are there. Thank you to the staff and owners for being cognizant of the needs of people who are suffering.

The staff was great very friendly and helpful. I declined the offered room change because I didn't want to be a problem and also didn't want to have to move our stuff.

The hotel is in a perfect location to the hospital which saved on parking fees. The hotel room had everything you needed without asking for an additional appliance. The room was very clean and update to date; bedding was comfortable, and the staff was very informative. Very pleased with my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was the best I have ever encountered in all my travels!! They were friendly and so helpful to me as I was traveling with my sister for cancer treatment. She has marked mobility issues. The staff helped in every way possible.The shuttle service was such a help in navigating the congested area. When we return, I will be staying at The Lodge!

We stayed at The Lodge because my husband had eye surgery at Duke. The hotel was very good but the real jewel was Janelle! She was amazing, she got a wheel chair for my husband for both arrival and departure. She gave us cookies and was very friendly besides being helpful. We can't say enough about our experience with her! Thank you, Janelle!

The room was clean. There were plenty of towels and washcloths that supplied us for our entire stay. (Housekeeping was on request). Staff was especially courteous and friendly. Room was a standard size. Also there was free parking onsite and didn't have issues finding parking. We did not stay here due to a medical reason, but the hospital is right across the street if that suits your needs. It's also a short walk to the Duke Campus
